Welcome to the RAeS Flight Test Group
The Flight Test Group (formerly the Test Pilots Group) examines the human and engineering aspects of test flying aircraft, both military and civil, fixed and rotary wing. With the experience of individual pilots and teams working on development projects, the Group provides a forum for all engaged in this area of aviation. The Group holds a number of Conferences and Lectures each year.

Hamburg Branch Named Lecture.
Established to commemorate the memory of Gerhard Sedlmayr, a pioneering aviator who dedicated his life to improving safety equipment for aircraft. The company which he founded in Berlin in 1919 as "Autoflug - Spezialhaus für das Automobil- und Luftfahrtwesen, Gerhard Sedlmayr" is still today as Autoflug GmbH involved in the design and manufacture of safety equipment.
The Rotorcraft group will be holding this conference on 6th - 7th July 2016 and it look at the challenges and solutions of The Automated Rotorcraft. Registration is currently open.
To celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the founding of the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Governor General of Australia and the RAeS Australian Division are hosting a reception at Admiralty House in Sydney.
