Donate to the RAeS
Do you shop online? Did you know that every time you buy something you could be raising money for the Royal Aeronautical Society?
That’s right - over 2,700 well known retailers including Amazon, M&S, Boden, Waitrose, House of Fraser, Vodafone, Virgin Atlantic and many more, will donate a percentage of what you spend to the Royal Aeronautical Society when you shop with them, via fundraising website www.easyfundraising.org.uk
You shop. Amazon gives.
- Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).
- AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service.
- Support the RAeS by starting your shopping at smile.amazon.com.

More information about Gift Aid can be found on the HMRC website.
Members can donate either by monthly or annual instalments with/through normal annual subscriptions and if they also sign a Gift Aid declaration a further 25p for each £1 donated can be claimed from the HMRC website.
Self Assessment Giving
Individuals can donate any tax refund (plus Gift Aid) on their Self Assessment Return to the Foundation.
This is a tax-effective way of supporting the Foundation. Gifts of shares/securities etc. are free of capital gains tax and can be also offset against taxable income (both standard and higher rate) – individuals can deduct from tax the market value of the shares/securities at the date of disposal (plus incidental costs).
Members can set up a Deed of Covenant (min four years) to support the Foundation activities or give them a choice to support specific activities (i.e. the recent purchase of No.4 Hamilton Place, Centennial Fund, National Aerospace Library or other activities). Members/donors can get tax relief on their payments.
