Outreach, Recruitment & Retention Workstream
The Outreach, Recruitment & Retention Workstream continues to work closely with colleagues in the ICAO Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) Outreach Programme. The Workstream has primacy on all matters bearing on pilot outreach and recruitment.
The Chairman is Captain Sanjay Sapra FRAeS, Manager Pilot Training Programmes, Etihad Airways.
Captain Sanjay Sapra is an aviation professional with over 30 years of aviation experience. He is currently a type rating examiner on the A320 and A330 types. Since 2002, he has been involved in airline training in various training and management roles. These roles have provided him with the opportunity to develop and manage pilot training programmes on Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft types. His expertise is in developing non-traditional training curriculums based on Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) and Evidence Based Training (EBT), in an effort to implement the best practices, innovation and excellence in pilot/instructor pilot training and qualification. He has also been involved in developing a Competency based Assessment for pilot and instructor recruitment. Captain Sanjay Sapra is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He holds an MSc degree in Air Transport Management from City University, London and remains actively involved with the Master’s Programme at the University.
The Workstream Vice-Chairman is Ros Azouzi, Head of Education & Skills at the Royal Aeronautical Society.
