Gregory will introduce attendees to the unique nature of lighter-than-air vehicle technology, including basic concepts, materials technology, airship operations and maintenance challenges and conclude with a summary of what’s happening globally today within airship development and why.

Gregory Gottlieb

Founder and Managing Director of Airships Arabia DWC-LLC, based in Dubai, UAE. Gregory has been working with airships since 1990. A member of The Airship Association Council, a former Editor of the quarterly journal AIRSHIP and former Chair of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Lighter-Than-Air Systems Technical Committee, Gregory's knowledge and understanding of airship technology, operations and development is recognized globally. After 20 years as a British Army Officer, Gregory’s subsequent career included acting as a Subject Matter Expert on airships for The Boeing Company, as a country
manager for tethered aerostat operations in Iraq.
