The aviation industry has a long standing commitment to tackle its climate change impact with a four pillar strategy based around technology, infrastructure and operations improvements as well as a global market based measure (MBM) to offset international aviation emissions after 2020. The 2016 ICAO Assembly adopted a landmark agreement on the global MBM, in the form of the Carbon Offsetting & Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA).
The Air Law and Greener by Design Group will be holding a half day seminar exploring the regulatory and operational issues for operators arising out of the implementation of the ICAO CORSIA scheme.
The full programme is available below.
The event will be followed by a networking reception sponsored by International Airlines Group, Clyde & Co and Air Transport Action Group.
