A review of the demand faced by the aerospace industry for Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Time Critical and Routine delivery services. The briefing will focus on the complex interplay between all parties within the supply chain including maintenance repair & overhaul organisations, carriers, tier 1 manufacturers and suppliers, parts suppliers, engine leasing and end of life cycle companies. Each has its own specialist needs. The briefing will attempt to identify them and show the interconnect between their specific needs.

Mr Ralph Perkins FRAeS, Managing Director, Aviation Logistics Network and Director, Davies Turner Air Cargo Ltd

Ralph is the Managing Director and Co Founder of the Aviation Logistics Network often abbreviated to (ALN), one of the world’s largest independent networks specialising in the transportation and logistic requirements of the Aerospace Industry, which he co founded 10 years ago. The network is dedicated to providing 24/7 supply chain and AOG solutions for aerospace companies globally main clients being maintenance repair and overhaul(MRO) service providers, airlines, aftermarket Spares and leasing companies. With over 380 locations world wide and 65 partners within the network with a total combined staff in excess of 65,000 he is responsible for the ongoing development of the network and leading large multinational teams ensuring the continued development of the services that the partners in the network provide both to each other and the client base they all jointly serve as ALN.

Twenty Four years of his career have been with Davies Turner Air Cargo where he has held various senior management positions starting with responsibility for the company sales strategy and growth in North America, followed by responsibility for training and developing the companies sales force as part of the organisations Investor In People programme for staff development as General Manager Sales. As part of the Senior Management team he was also involved in the implementation of the companies AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) accreditation for supply chain security (Davies Turner were one of the very first logistics organisations to gain accreditation) .He became a main board director of that Organisation in 2006. Davies Turner is a privately owned British company in the same family ownership since 1870.

Prior to his service in Davies Turner he held senior positions within the supply chain and forwarding Industry including The Laird Group The MAT Group and the Clyde Shipping Group.

He was directly involved in the organisation of the Logistical requirements of many organisations operating both fixed wing and rotary aircraft and remains “hands on” spending all of his time dedicated to supporting the ALN network and driving the ongoing continued development of the aerospace services within Davies Turner.

As a director of Davies Turner Air Cargo - he started their Aviation Division focusing on aircraft on ground (AOG) emergency logistics. Previous experience with organising the logistical movements of all types of commodities needed for the aerospace industry includes: Aircraft Engines flight surfaces and components.

The Aviation Logistics Network (ALN) has been the recipient of many awards for quality and service throughout the Airline & MRO Industry.
