The Edwin A. Link Lecture was established in 2007 to honour Edwin A. Link, the distinguished pioneer of synthetic training.

This year's lecture is entitled "Aviation/Flight Simulation - What Next?" and will be delivered by Capt Kip Caudrey, Senior Manager Simulator Evaluation, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Capt Kip Caudrey, Senior Manager Simulator Evaluation, Boeing Commercial Airplanes

Kip was a pilot in the Canadian Air Force for 23 years where he flew and instructed on a large number of military aircraft including the CF 104 Starfighter and 707 AWACS. Kip later flew the 747-400 and MD-11 during prototype testing. Prior to joining Boeing in 2000 he was the Manager of the Test Pilot group at CAE and has spoken at many conferences including RAeS, FSEMC and WATS. He has lectured frequently at Cranfield Aeronautical University and is Lead lecturer for Boeing Official courses to Regulators and Pilots on International Simulator Regulations and Standards. Kip has been an active participant in the RAeS sponsored International Working Group that wrote ICAO 9625 Edition 3 and the Boeing representative on the ICATEE WG and FSEMC sponsored Air traffic Control, acceptance procedures and malfunction working groups.
