RAeS Learned Society Board

The primary purpose of the Learned Society Board is to be the guardian of the Society’s intellectual activity to further develop and expand on this knowledge. In addition, the Board advises Council and the Trustees on policy issues that fall into its area of expertise.

The role of the LSB includes the review, analysis and direction of activities of the Specialist Groups, Journals and Publications, the National Aerospace Library and the Events Programme to ensure the appropriate maintenance, development and availability of knowledge is in place. In this way, the LSB also assists in providing the oversight and strategic direction of the Society’s international reputation, outreach and influence.
