What is Air Transport?

The scope of the Air Transport Group is wide-ranging - covering aircraft design, marketing, operations, airport management and planning, air traffic control, finance, and regulatory matters. The Committee membership reflects this variety including, as it does, pilots, aeronautical engineers from a wide variety of disciplines, airline managers, consultants, and university lecturers.

Group objectives

The Air Transport Specialist group promotes activities in its area of interest, carrying out a regular review of industry developments and maintains close contact with other Specialist Groups, co-operating in those areas of common interest. It communicates its activities to the membership at large, inviting comments and participation. 

Events

The Society’s air Transport Specialist Group runs a conference every year as well as the Tony Lucking Memorial Debate.
