Aircraft Maintenance Engineers
What is the aircraft maintenance engineering group?
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Group arose when the Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Technicians (SLAET) was absorbed into the Society.
The aims of the Aircarft Maintenance Engineering Group are to:
- Promote understanding and interest in licensed engineering and appropriate military equivalent, through discussion groups, industry representation and conference support.
- Consider and review changes to engineering licensing standards as set (or proposed) by the CAA/EASA and make appropriate representations to these bodies.
- Encourage interaction between the Licensed Engineering Specialist Group and other related Specialist Groups, such as: Airworthiness and Maintenance Group, General Aviation Group, Engineering Maintenance Sub-Group. The aim of such contact and liaison is to ensure the Society provides a cohesive strategy on all aspects of aircraft maintenance.
The Group supports the activity of a number of other Specialist Interest Groups within the Society.
