Applying for Membership

Applications for membership and/or registration can be made online by clicking on Apply Now.  If you are a first-time user of the website, you will need to create a website user account. 

Applications are considered by Committee every two months and the closing dates for 2018 for applications to be received at RAeS are:

11 September (Membership Committee meets on 9 October 2018)
27 November  2018(Membership Committee TBC)

A non-refundable application or upgrade fee* is collected upon receipt of your application.  See Fees page for details.  You will be notified as soon as possible after the Membership Grading Committee meeting of the outcome of your application, normally within 2 weeks. Successful candidates will be emailed with advice about the subscription fee to be debited from the credit/debit card given with the application. A certificate confirming your election is sent once payment has been collected.

*The Membership application/upgrade is waived if you are employed by a company which is a member of our Corporate Partner Scheme.

Unsuccessful candidates will receive feedback and encouragement to re-apply where appropriate. Candidates who are dissatisfied with the decision are entitled to appeal.
