As a member of the RAeS, you are part of the worlds foremost Aerospace community. Our membership is made up from a diverse range of professions including aircrew, air traffic control, systems design, engineering, military and civilian MOD professionals as well as professions serving industry like law, and recruitment and as a result our field of expertise is broad.
RAeS membership demonstrates to others the commitment you have made to the industry.
Membership will give recognition through the following:
- the use of internationally recognised post-nominal
- recognition of your experience within the industry
- peer recognition via the Honours, Medals and Awards Scheme

Each grade of membership is designed to demonstrate a members experience, skill and academics in industry. We therefore provide a different post-nominal after each grade of membership.
