Hybrid Air Vehicles’ Airlander 10 experienced damage to its control cabin from a nose-first ‘hard landing’ following a 100min second test flight on 24 August.

Both pilots escaped without injury and the airship is now back in its hangar at Cardington for damage assessment and repair. In a separate incident during the test flight, a mooring line attached to the Airlander contacted a power line outside the airfield.
