CRC Press have selected Flight Dynamics, Simulation and Control: For Rigid and Flexible Aircraft as their book recommendation for RAeS members this autumn.

Title: Flight Dynamics, Simulation, and Control: For Rigid and Flexible Aircraft

ISBN: 9781466573352
Price: £95.00 (20% off for RAeS members when quoting AKN14)
Publishing: September 2, 2014

Bringing together diverse topics in flight mechanics, aeroelasticity, and automatic controls, this book addresses the core issues involved in the dynamics, modeling, simulation, and control of fixed-wing aircraft. Covering basic principles applicable to both traditional rigid and modern flexible aircraft, the author explores the design and regulation of flight control systems and flight simulators, presents the latest techniques of modeling and simulation using MATLAB® and Simulink®, and provides case studies demonstrating the application of control laws.

RAeS Flight Simulation activities

The Royal Aeronautical Society's Flight Simulation Specialist Group deals with the design, manufacture, installation and operation of simulation equipment and synthetic environments, and the economic and human factors which bear on the use of simulators for research and development and for civil and military flight crew training. The Group maintains a significant international footprint and keeps abreast of flight simulation requirements in both civil and military areas worldwide, including the requirements of national and multinational civil regulatory authorities.

You can join the RAeS Flight Simulation discussions on LinkedIn or find out more about their next conference on the Future of Flight Training Devices, which will be held on 12 and 13 November 2014 at No.4 Hamilton Place, London, UK.
