A British inventor has put together a real-life ‘Iron Man’ style jetpack system using micro jet turbines.

The Daedalus suit uses six micro jet turbines (four on the arms and two on the hips) to provide enough thrust to lift the wearer. The suit, which inventor Richard Browning has been working on for around a year, also incorporates a helmet mounted head-up display. Browning has already flown the suit a few metres above the ground and says that his company, Gravity’s vision is to produce the suit for commercial, military and entertainment applications.
