Some 60% of airline passengers say in-flight WiFi is a ‘necessity, not a luxury’ according to research conducting by satellite communications operator and services specialists Inmarsat.

Its annual Inflight Connectivity Survey also found that 44% of passengers would stop using their usual airline in the next year if it did not offer in-flight WiFi fast enough able to browse or stream online. High quality WiFi is now ranked third on the list of passenger booking priorities after ticket price and schedules, with the greatest demand coming from Asia-Pacific.
