Our 2015 Careers in Aerospace LIVE event will be another exciting day in the RAeS calendar. Please note that due to high visitor demand, the afternoon session is now FULLY BOOKED and only a few places remain for the morning session!
As you prepare for the event, remember that Business Class exhibitors will be giving presentations during the day, offering you a chance to learn more about their career programmes and entry routes. We also have presentations from the UK Space Agency, Honourable Company of Air Pilots and CV workshops from the RAeS.
Making the most of careers fairs
Remember, at these types of events, it is not the role of the exhibitor to tell each visitor about their career opportunities. They will expect you to have already done some prior research about the organisation and be ready to ask specific questions to help you on your career journey. It may be that you have looked at the online application form and are not sure about some of the questions, you would like to hear from those working at the organisation about their experience, or learn more about what key skills they are looking for.
For more advice and top tips, why not read our 2014 blog on making the most of your visit to Careers in Aerospace LIVE.
As soon as the leaves turn golden, students in particular should be turning their thoughts to graduate recruitment and placement schemes. With such high numbers of people applying, graduate recruiters from all sectors - engineering, operations and support services - tend to open their schemes in Autumn to manage the high volumes of applicants they will see in the coming months for entry onto their graduate and undergraduate programmes.
Another useful (re)read is our 'All the Leaves are Brown' graduate recruitment feature from the third issue of Career Flightpath magazine. Packed with advice on the application process and making the most of your education and opportunities for work experience, the article aims to give you a headstart.
A sneak preview of our new Career Flightpath magazine
The new issue of our popular careers magazine will be launched at the event. We are delighted that the cover star, Captain Rola Hoteit, one of the only female airline captains in the Middle East will be attending the show and able to sign copies of your magazine throughout the day. Rola will spend much of the day at the Royal Aeronautical Society stand in the Bill Boeing Lecture and pass on her invaluable experience to date.
Final Careers in Aerospace LIVE exhibitor news
We are delighted to welcome back Cobham, UK Space Agency, Talent Retention Solution (TRS) and the Aviation Skills Partnership to the event completing the line-up for a packed exhibition which covers the whole range of career opportunities across aerospace and aviation.
We hope you enjoy the show!
