European missile house MBDA has secured orders worth £539m from the UK MoD for Meteor BVRAAM, Sea Viper and CAMM missile systems.

The contract includes £41m Meteor work to integrate the missile with RAF Typhoons in 2018 and UK F-35Bs in 2014, as well as £175m in support work for the RN’s Sea Viper missile system and £323m for CAMM – which will provide air defence for the new Type 26 frigate and will also replace the British Army’s Rapier SAM.
