Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has revealed that its MRJ regional jet schedule will be delayed a further two years – with EIS now targeted for mid-2020, rather than 2018.

The fifth schedule slip in the MRJ’s development, the latest delay was caused, says MHI due to “revisions of certain systems and electrical configurations”. Three flight testing prototypes are now undergoing testing in the US, with type certification is now expected in 2019.
