Lockheed Martin has announced that the next ‘Marine One’ helicopter for the US President, has made its first flight.

Replacing Sea Kings currently in service, the new Presidential helicopter, the Sikorsky VH-92A, flew for the first time on 28 July, making two flights that day. The programme will see two test aircraft complete a 250h test campaign, with the US Navy having ordered initial four production helicopters, with options for a further 17.
