The Brabazon Lecture is held in honour of Lord Brabazon of Tara. The Brabazon Lecture is held in honour of Lord Brabazon of Tara. Born in London on 8 February 1884, J.T.C. Moore-Brabazon became one of British aviation’s true pioneers and,in his political career played an important role in the planning of civil aviation for the years following WW2. This year’s lecture saw Mark King, President of Civil Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, discuss the journey the civil aviation industry has undergone in the last 12 years and the lessons for our trip to 2025.

Mark King, President, Civil Aerospace, Rolls Royce

Mark King joined Rolls-Royce in 1986 and was appointed President of Civil Aerospace on 31 August 2007. Prior to this appointment, Mark was Chief Commercial Officer - Civil Large Engines, which followed three years as President &CEO of IAE International Aero Engines AG. Mark is a member of the Business Advisory Council of the Said Business School.
