The Polish Air Force have grounded their fleet of Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29A Fulcrum multi-role fighters, following the fatal crash near Pasłęk on 6 July.

The MiG-29 crashed during a night interception exercise, the pilot ejected however was pronounced dead not long after following injuries sustained.

Following the incident, the Polish Defence Ministry grounded all of Poland’s MiG-29A fighters, which totals roughly 30 aircraft, which have been in active service for nearly 30 years.
