RAeS Council member, Lara Small ARAeS, featured in the Stylist Magazine's Work/Life section and revealed what a regular day as an aerospace engineer means for her.

A day in the life...

Lara Small ARAeS works as an aerospace engineer for Rolls-Royce, one of the Society's Corporate Partners, managing a team of seven to oversee manufacturing projects as diverse as producing components for aeroplane engines or building a nuclear reactor vessel. You can read more about a typical diary of her day in the Stylist magazine.

Lara was elected to the Royal Aeronautical Society's Council in 2013 and also serves on the Women in Aerospace & Aviation Committee, which tackles under-representation. In order to give back to the engineering community she also acts as a STEM ambassador, promoting careers in aerospace and engineering and encouraging students to choose Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths subjects to study at school.
