Israeli VTOL UAV company Urban Aeronautics subsidiary, Metro Skyways is to develop a four-seat ‘flying car’ using the ducted-fan technology created by its parent firm.

The four-CityHawk, based on the Cormorant (previously Air Mule) UAV, initially powered by jet fuel will eventually be powered by hydrogen, according to the company, either by burning it directly or using it in a fuel cell to power electric motors. The CityHawk will also feature a ballistic parachute recovery system for safety. Metro Skyways aims to secure both FAA and EASA certification for the VTOL vehicle.
