Highlighting opportunities, the real economic benefits and tackling the current challenges
Recorded: 25 April 2017
Given the importance of business aviation to the national economy, especially as a driver for creating and sustaining jobs, the Royal Aeronautical Society believes public policies and decision makers need to better understand the role of the business aviation sector in the UK. Equally, business aviation may not have the best reputation among the public and policymakers, who could see business aviation as nothing more than ‘rich people’s toys’. With the future political and future regulatory landscape set to change with Brexit, the sector must adapt to ensure the benefits to the economy and society are preserved, and decision-makers can help overcome barriers to growth.
This event brought together representatives from the business aviation sector, industry advocates, enthusiasts and press to look at the sector benefits, whilst also considering the key hurdles to growth.
