Come and celebrate 20 Years of the Careers Service at the Royal Aeronautical Society’s annual Careers Awareness event, the Ballantyne! This annual event for 14-18 year olds aims to provide an insight into the career pathways in the aerospace and aviation sector with inspiring talks from aerospace and aviation professionals of all ages as well as STEM challenges and competitions.
We are delighted to announce that Raytheon UK will again sponsor the 2017 event. Our thanks again to Raytheon UK for making the event possible. There will be a series of hands on workshops throughout the day and we are delighted to have Oxford Space Systems and the RAF attending, as well as other aerospace and aviation professionals sharing their experiences and routes into industry. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to learn about the opportunities in the exciting world of aerospace and aviation and what employers want from the next generation.
The event is named after Dr Archie Ballantyne, Secretary of the RAeS from 1951-1973. Ballantyne was particularly interested in young people’s development so it is fitting that nearly 50 years on, the event continues in his name and with this core objective at its heart.
We look forward to seeing you at the Ballantyne!
