An investigation into an incident on 24 July in which a WestJet Boeing 737-800 experienced control problems after taking off from Los Angeles believe it may have been caused by wake turbulence from a previously departed Airbus A321.

Investigators from the Transportation Safety Board of Canada say that the WestJet 737 experienced an uncommanded roll and disconnection of the autopilot but the flight crew were able to take manual control of the aircraft to correct the roll and the aircraft continued onto Calgary. There were no injuries caused by the incident.
